The Manipulation and Touch Lab conducts research on the following topics.
- Developing new gripper hardware and control approaches for Robot Manipulation
- Studying Human Movement and Manipulation to improve medical understanding and intervention
- Applying new approaches to Haptic Sensing to help robots use touch to understand the world
- Designing and testing Shape-Changing Haptic Interfaces to communicate data without the use of vision.
The lab is led by Dr. Ad Spiers.
We are located in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Imperial College London, in beautiful South Kensington.
